Followers Of Allah Exhume Corpse, Dump On Family’s Porch

May 5, 2009

senegalBut it’s okay because they’re religious!

From the BBC:

The body of a man believed to be homosexual has twice been dug up from a Muslim cemetery in Senegal.

The man, in his 30s, was first buried on Saturday before residents of the western town of Thies dug up his body and left it near his grave, police say.

His family then reburied him, but he was once more exhumed by people who did not want him buried there. His body was dumped outside the family house.

Fucking holier-than-thou animals.

Senegal is apparently attempting to become the  most homophobic place on Earth (watch out Iran/Jamaica/most of Africa!).

“Gay Panic” Defense Succeeds In Spanish Double Murder

March 4, 2009
trivino luciano pineiro

From Andrés Duque at Blabbeando:

“Twenty-seven year old Isaac Ali Dani Peréz Triviño (left) was born in Spain. Thirty-two year old Julio Anderson Luciano (center) was born in Brazil. They lived together in the Spanish province of Vigo and were planning to get married.

Both were stabbed to death by Jacobo Piñeiro Rial (right) in their apartment in the early morning of January 13th, 2006. The bodies showed a total of 57 stab wounds, according to forensics.

After killing them, Piñeiro took a shower and cleaned himself up. He filled a suitcase with some of their belongings to make it look like a robbery and then spilled clothing all over the place. He poured alcohol over everything, including his victims’ bodies, turned on the gas spigot on the stove, and set everything on fire. The local fire department said that little evidence would have survived if it wasn’t for their prompt response to the 5-alarm fire.”

pride-spain-flagsPiñeiro Rial met the couple at a gay bar after drinking and doing coke all afternoon. He went with the couple back to their home at 10:30 PM and, forensic experts believe, began murdering the couple around 4:00 AM:

“Apparently, Pérez Triviñio was stabbed first but did not die. Piñeiro then stabbed Anderson Luciano twice while in the couples’ room, and 22 more times as he followed his victim out of the room, into a corridor and out to the living room – where he died.

Pérez Triviñio, in the meantime, had locked himself in the room and records show that he was able to call local authorities. The call was cut short when Piñeiro was able to break back into the room and finish him off by stabbing him 35 more times.

In the living room, he tied Anderson Luciano’s hands and put a blanket over his body; in the bedroom, he placed a blanket over Pérez Triviñio’s head, tied a cable around it, and tethered it to a bed post. He then emptied closets and threw clothes all over the apartment, poured alcohol and set everything on fire.

Piñeiro left the building around 9:30am.”

Piñeiro confessed to killing Peréz Triviño and Anderson Luciano and setting the fire but his lawyer worked to usurp that confession:

“His lawyer argued that Piñeiro was overcome by an “insurmountable fear of being raped and being murdered” and that his judgment was clouded by the alcohol and cocaine he had consumed in the previous two days…”

Forensic experts eliminated the role of cocaine and alcohol as a factor in the incident based upon the time of the murders (it would have worn off), which reduced the defense to the “insurmountable fear” AKA “gay panic.”

And the jury bought it: Piñeiro was acquitted of the murders.

John Aravosis writes at AmericaBlog:

“Spain has legalized gay marriage. So you’d think “we’ve won!” We haven’t. Even after you win your rights – long after – you’re still not equal, you’re still not free. Slavery was abolished after the civil war. The Civil Rights Act didn’t happen until 100 years later. And now, 50 years hence, African-Americans still face prejudice and discrimination, even having elected a black president. It takes a long time to purge bigotry.

I’m asking folks to do what they can to help publicize this case, and show support. There’s a Facebook group I’d urge everyone to join. There are also protests this Saturday in Madrid, Barcelona, and around Spain. […] It’s Spain’s “twinkie defense.” It’s Spain’s Matthew Shepard. It’s Spain’s shame.”

Consolation prize? The judge sentenced Piñeiro to 20 years in jail for setting the fire, which was viewed as endangering others. Lesson? Potentially endangering heterosexuals is worse than actually killing homosexuals.

Blabbeando has links to Spanish-language news articles. Unfortunately, I can’t find any coverage in the American press.

CO Pol: No HIV Tests For Mothers; An HIV+ Baby Will Be Punishment For Your Promiscuity

February 26, 2009

David SchultheisFirst a Colorado state senator equates homosexuals with murderers and now this…!?

Yesterday, the Colorado state senate voted on a bill that would require HIV testing for pregnant woman. The benefit of this, as any quasi-educated individual knows, is that early detection of HIV in pregnant women can completely block its transmission to the fetus, thus saving an individual from an entire lifetime of HIV.

Colorado State Senator Dave Schultheis, apparently attempting to become the GOP’s Supreme Douche Nozzle, was the only individual in the senate who voted against the bill because HIV “stems from sexual promiscuity” and he thinks that testing a mother for HIV (which she would only have if she were promiscuous) would “remove the negative consequences that take place from poor behavior and unacceptable behavior.”

Whaaat?

First of all, the obvious (since it has clearly escaped this dumb fuck): you don’t have to be promiscuous to get HIV.  (He must be a graduate of Bush’s School of Abstinence-Only Education.) Second, how would testing remove “the negative consequences” of such behavior? And third, what the hell are those consequences?! Thankfully, the Supreme Douche Nozzle kept talking:

“What I’m hoping is that, yes, that person may have AIDS, have it seriously as a baby and when they grow up, but the mother will begin to feel guilt as a result of that. The family will see the negative consequences of that promiscuity and it may make a number of people over the coming years begin to realize that there are negative consequences and maybe they should adjust their behavior.”

Oh, I see, the negative consequence of being promiscuous is not HIV (which you obviously already have because you’re promiscuous, duh) but having a HIV+ baby (who has it “seriously“) and whose disease will bring shame and guilt to you and your family, ultimately guilting you into changing your super-slutty ways.

OH MY FUCKING GOD.

There was, of course, a doctor testifying before the senate about the relevant medical FACTS and STATISTICS and trying to correct Supreme Douche Nozzle’s TOTAL IGNORANCE but Supreme Douche Nozzle had no need for those trivialities, he’s too smart for facts and numbers and medicine.

Here is Senator Schultheis’s contact information – be sure to let him know what you think (I did!):

Related: the following poll (non-scientific, since Schultheis obviously doesn’t do science) is up at Schultheis’s webpage (vote now!):

Legislators see a lot of bills to make life easier for people who make immoral choices. For example, giving away free condoms in schools so that high school-aged children can engage in sexual acts guilt-free. Should government ease the consequences of immoral behavior?

There Is Nothing Racist About This New York Post Cartoon

February 18, 2009

NY Post

according the paper’s editor-in-chief Col Allan:

“The cartoon is a clear parody of a current news event, to wit the shooting of a violent chimpanzee in Connecticut. It broadly mocks Washington’s efforts to revive the economy.”

Allan is obviously an idiot if he can’t even admit that the cartoon was, at minimum, in very bad taste. Given the racist notion of likening blacks to monkeys, you can’t compare the country’s first black president to a rabid, “violent” chimpanzee and not acknowledge that it was in bad taste, even if you were simply intending to go for the “it’s-so-poorly-written-a-bunch-of-monkeys-might-as-well-have-written-it” punchline (which, curiously, Allan doesn’t even explicitly say they were doing.)

The cartoon’s “author,” Sean Delonas, has a history of homophobic and otherwise offensive cartoons that people have been complaining about for a while.

Let’s hope this is the last straw to this loser’s career:
