Two big releases today: Kelly Clarkson‘s fourth (!) LP “All I Ever Wanted,” and NY-based Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘s third LP, “It’s Blitz.” (Aside: can the Yeah Yeah Yeahs please tell Kelly how to properly do album art?! That cover is awful.)
I stated before that I was pleasantly surprised by Kelly‘s latest album and I think these are two of my favorite tracks:
I haven’t been a fan of (the?) Yeah Yeah Yeahs in the past but I thought I would give these two tracks a try when I came upon them. “Heads Will Roll” doesn’t really do it for me although it’s been described as “begging for remixes,” so perhaps it will appeal to me more after it’s been tweaked. “Runaway,” however, is quickly making me a fan of the band.
Kelly Clarkson‘s new album (due Mar 10) and U2‘s new album (due Mar 3) have each leaked. I’m on the eighth track (of 14!) on the Kelly album and am loving it. Totally impressed. Haven’t listened to the U2 album yet but Rolling Stone apparently gave it 5 stars, if that means something.
Head to ALi’s Blog right now as the U2 link is getting yanked on Friday and the Kelly link on Sunday:
The new Kelly Clarkson single, which returns to her pop beginnings after that very unfortunate I-don’t-need-Clive-Davis-oh-it-looks-like-I-do last album, premiered on Z100 today. I’m not going to post it for fear of being ripped six new assholes, but the great folks with bigger cajones than I are there for you:
