Over at Slog, my current obsession Dan Savage points us to an article at Boston.com about how city life apparently makes you dumb. I don’t really agree with the study as it sounds like what would happen to my grandmother – whose spent all of her 80+ years living on a farm surrounded my unlimited amounts of nature – if she were plopped in the middle of midtown Manhattan without warning. I think for the most part, city residents tend to become immune to most of these extraneous stimuli and learn to cope with those they don’t become immune to. Interesting read, nevertheless.
